A year on from the release of their two-song demonstration cassette, Pash return with their dewy new EP, ‘Somersault’—a nod to Australian director Cate Shortland’s emotionally fraught romance film of the same name.

On ‘Somersault’, Pash unite an extended line up of Jemimah, Jackson & Joe. Switching instruments throughout, the trio ricochet through four tracks that are as saccharine as they are sonically expansive.

Falling between the sensibilities of Sarah Records bands like Blueboy and The Wake, and the urgent pop delivery of The Wedding Present and Shop Assistants, with Somersault, Pash indulge once more in the wistful crush-pop of their demonstration—this time, with a renewed sense of buoyancy and optimism.
